Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of the Clock app for Android. By installing or using Clock, or by tapping “Agree & Continue”, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Definitions
“Clock”, “the app” and “the service” mean the Clock alarm, world clock, timer and stopwatch application and its related features. “We” and “us” mean the provider of the app. “You” means the person using it. “Premium” means the optional paid ad-free feature.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Clock on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, resell or distribute the app, remove notices from it, or use it in a way that is unlawful or interferes with its operation or other people’s use of it.
3. Alarms, timers and reliability
Clock is designed to ring alarms and timers reliably, but alarms depend on your device and its settings. Battery-saving modes, “Do not disturb”, a muted or low volume, denied notification or exact-alarm permissions, a powered-off phone, a system update or an operating-system restriction can prevent an alarm from sounding. Do not rely on Clock as your only means of waking up or being reminded of anything where missing it could cause harm or significant loss. Please check that your alarms are set correctly and test them.
4. Permissions
The app asks for permissions such as notifications, exact alarms, full-screen alerts and, if you choose the optional after-call screen, phone state and display-over-other-apps. You decide whether to grant each one, and some features will not work without them. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
5. Optional features: home screen (launcher) mode
Some features are optional, are off until you choose them, and are not available on every install (for example the home-screen mode and the weather card, which are switched on only for some installs). The after-call screen and the permissions behind these features are optional too, and the core alarm, world clock, timer and stopwatch keep working without them. If you choose Clock as your home app, it replaces your current home screen until you pick another one in Android settings. Apps you open from Clock’s home screen, app drawer, dock and shortcuts are provided by others and are governed by their own terms. Hiding an app from the drawer does not remove or disable it. You are responsible for your device and the apps on it.
6. Weather and other information
The optional weather and air-quality cards show information from third parties (Open-Meteo.com). It is provided for general information only, may be delayed or inaccurate, and must not be relied on for decisions that affect safety or health.
7. Ads, Premium and purchases
- The free version shows ads provided by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of ads or for sites and apps they lead to.
- Premium removes ads. It is sold through Google Play as a subscription or a one-time purchase, at the price shown in Google Play before you buy.
- Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Google Play and are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and its refund policy. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in Google Play. We cannot cancel or refund Google Play purchases ourselves.
- Premium status is determined from your Google Play purchases on your device. You can restore purchases from within the app.
- Some features may be offered in exchange for watching a rewarded ad. Rewards have no cash value.
8. Third-party services
Clock uses third-party services such as Google AdMob, Firebase, Google Play and Open-Meteo. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Intellectual property
The app, its design, text and graphics are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms do not give you ownership of any of it. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Clock is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of time or time-zone data, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that alarms will always ring. Time-zone and daylight-saving rules change; displayed times may occasionally be wrong. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, opportunity or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Clock, including a missed or late alarm. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim, or to USD 10 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Termination
You can stop using Clock at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the app. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive termination.
13. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the changed terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the app’s provider is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
